Chile Pepper Extravaganza Offers Limited VIP Tickets!

The Extravaganza VIP Room

Sir McMillen, The Extravaganza show director and publisher of Chile Pepper magazine announced Monday that the VIP Room at the show will feature some of the finest food in southern Louisiana. Additional items include, special crafted beer, a full range of cocktails and a limited number of handcrafted, hand-rolled exotic cigars for patrons paying the added premium. “We wanted our guess’s wanting to maximize their experience at the show, to have the opportunity to experience some of the best that New Orleans has to offer” he shared at a local press conference in the warehouse house district.

He further shared “The VIP Room and it’s unique offerings are available daily during the show, allowing everyone the time and opportunity to experience and enjoy all of the Hot Sauce, BBQ and Specialty Food offerings from the 70 plus vendors. The cost of $50 assures everyone a value that is well spent and generously rewarded with fantastic food, cigars and a free subscription to Chile Pepper magazine.”

The location of the VIP Room, at Hall J at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in downtown New Orleans, is located directly in front of the show stage, providing ring side seating for the jalapeño, frog leg and wing eating competition, the infamous lick-a-thon and a number of viewings of “Meanwhile Back at Café Du Monde” show featuring many food celebrities, sharing their one-of-a-kind food experiences, all hosted by Peggy-Sweeney McDonald – author and show creator. The Extravaganza experience will also highlight Mardi-Gras Revelers, a Perfect Hurricane Challenge and an endless opportunity to sample hundreds of special items, hot sauces, BBQ and even, Cindy Reed Wilkins, Cin Chili’s legend, two-time back-to-back international championship chili.

Rick McMillen, Chile Pepper’s Editor and Chef adds, “If you’re a foodie, love hot sauces, enjoy great music, like to participate in culinary challenges and want to enjoy a day out of the heat and humidity while getting the belly full of never before goodies, The Extravaganza is the perfect opportunity to enjoy your day!”

The show opens Friday at noon to the public and continues all weekend long – featuring over 70 hot sauce, BBQ and Specialty Food vendors from all across the US. The fee for entry is $10 per person, children under 8 is free. A free one-year subscription to Chile Pepper magazine, six issues, will be given to each person paying the $10 – one subscription per household.

It’s almost here, folks! After spending a great day at the Houston Fest (put it on your must do list for next year!!) I’m ready for the Chile Pepper Extravaganza at the Ernest Morial Convention Center in New Orleans!!
